We need to raise $60k in 20-days to keep the following crucial programs in place at our school:
1) COMPUTER ROBOTICS AID - $15,000
2) THEATRE ARTS PROGRAM - $30,000
3) P.E. PROGRAM - $15,000
The suggested donation is $750 or no less than $500 per student. HOWEVER, our goal is always 100% participation and every donation, no matter how big or small, is extremely appreciated.

If you break down the $500 over the course of the instructional school year it comes out to less than $3 per day! You can also choose to space out your donation monthly through automatic payments.

Dear AES Family,
Welcome back to The Academy for Enriched Sciences 2023-2024 school year!
My name is Leslie Eichberg, your PTA President, and on behalf of the entire Executive Board, we are excited to work hard and make this the best year ever. Whether this is your first year at AES, or you are a long-standing member of this family, we are so glad to be together again.
The AES PTA plays a pivotal role in enriching the educational experiences of our students. Our mission is to empower our educators, support our students, and strengthen the bonds within our school community.
I am excited to launch our Annual Fund Campaign, the year’s most important fundraiser of all. This campaign is an opportunity to contribute directly to the growth and success of our school. The funds raised through this campaign will be allocated to creating Computer/Robotics class, Theater Art Class and P.E.
To achieve our fundraising goal of 60k, we rely on your support. Your donation is an investment in the future of our children. Together, we will create a learning environment that instills curiosity, empowers young minds, and prepares our students for success.

Why does AES have an Annual Fund Campaign?
While LAUSD supplies funding for basic educational needs, the funds simply are not enough to cover the rich curriculum and experiences we want for our kids. In fact, it doesn’t cover the things you might expect, such as physical education, field trips, or music and art.
Our job as the PTA is to close that gap, using your donations and the funds raised by the PTA to supplement our school with staff, resources, and educational opportunities that allow our kids to thrive.
What is our overall goal?
The goal for the 2023/24 Annual Fund Campaign is $60,000. The total goal for the year, including all fundraising, is $132,000!
What, specifically, are we working toward?
The Annual Fund will be used to implement 3 big initiatives, which will help round out our kids' educational experiences:
Computer/ Robotics Aid: $15,000
Theatre Program: $30,000
P.E. Program: $15,000

Are there Incentives?
It is important that 100% of your donation goes back to the students. It is also very important to AES that we celebrate participation at all levels. If/when we reach our overall AES fundraising goal of $60,000, we will arrange a school wide celebration!!! We’ll also celebrate along the way! The PTA will surprise the school
Is my donation tax deductible?
YES! The AES PTA is a 501(c)(3), therefore, your donation is a charitable contribution. Our Federal ID number is 90-0848339. After tax savings, your cost for every dollar donated can be less than a dollar! Online donations receive an automated tax document.
How can corporate matching double my giving?
Corporate matching is a great way to double your donation by asking a company to match donation funds up to a certain amount (i.e., a corporation might agree to match up to $10,000 of AES donations). This process usually starts with you, the employer, contacting HR with a request. If this is the first time your company is matching for our school, they may reach out to us for more information which we will HAPPILY provide. Corporate sponsors will receive social media recognition.

What school year are my funds used for?
Both the current instructional school year as well as the following year. We pay for 2 types of providers – District employees and non-District employees. District employees are those whose services we must purchase directly from LAUSD (i.e., teachers’ aides). That purchase is made around March/April of the preceding year for the following year. Non-District employees are funded during the year in which they provide services. Instruction from non-District employees can also be added to during the year as funding permits.
